Painted Cello Front Plate
In 2010, while on concert tour in Kansas City, we had to rent an upright bass for the concert at K C Strings. Not only did they rent instruments at this location but they also made violins and cellos. I spotted this spruce wood front plate intended to be part of cello but had been set aside as, not being quite perfect. I saw this as a canvas, purchased it and carried it under my arm as we flew back to Tucson. It made for a nice conversational piece during the trip. Two years later the art piece herunder was completed.
